Early Praise for Fluent Forever

Fluent Forever is the book I wish I had had during my numerous failed attempts at learning different languages. It’s a refreshingly fun and engaging guide that shows you how to language-hack your brain.  Wyner’s done all the hard work so that the reader can actually enjoy the process of becoming fluent in a language quickly!”
-Nelson Dellis, 2011 and 2012 USA Memory Champion

“I know what you’re thinking: But learning a new language is soooo hard! The solution? Stop being a whiner and start reading Wyner.  This book is a winner!  Guaranteed to rewire your brain in as many languages as you’d like.”
- Joel Saltzman, author of Shake That Brain!: How to Create Winning Solutions and Have Fun While You’re at It

“Americans refuse to realize that all languages are foreign — yes, including English. It’s time we learned how to speak like the rest of the world: in more ways than one. This book is a hilarious toolbox that helps you get a head start. Pick a foreign language (yes, including English) and voilàel futuro es tuyoHigh-five to Gabriel Wyner!”
-Ilan Stavans, author of Dictionary Days: A Defining Passion

Formats

Fluent Forever will be available next year (date coming soon!) in Trade Paperback and eBook formats (Kindle, Nook, iBooks, blah blah blah).

You can preorder now through Amazon, but if you’d like early access, get it through Kickstarter instead (and tell your friends while you’re at it)! Why? My publisher has given me the go-ahead to release early excerpts to Kickstarter backers of the Fluent Forever Pronunciation Trainer App, along with a 10-page overview of the meaty bits of the book.

Book-Related News and Updates

Nov 1, 2014

What an extraordinary journey this has been.

This book began in 2011 as a Master’s Thesis, eventually turned into a book proposal and sold to Crown/Random House in June of 2012, was thrown away entirely and rewritten from scratch in 2012/2013, finished in June 2013 and edited in the following few months. In the process, I’ve completely rethought my approach to language learning, I’ve fallen in love with the art and craft of writing and storytelling and I’ve worked harder than I’ve ever thought possible. This book is me in written form. It’s also a damned good book about language learning, thank you very much. (I’m allowed to say that only because my first draft was crap.)

It will be released on August 5, 2014. Until then, I’m aiming to release early excerpts to my Kickstarter backers, collecting early blurbs and reviews, and making this website as comprehensive and awesome as I possibly can, so that the moment someone reads my book, they have all the tools they need to start learning a language immediately.

Get it through Kickstarter (link coming mid November!) and get all kinds of awesome stuffs (and for God’s sake, tell all of your friends! All. Of. Them.)
